Preboarding Checklist: 

    • Validate your hire with HR. 
    • Send a welcoming email to your new employee. 
    • Inform your existing employees about the new hire. 
    • Prepare new employee documentation. 
    • Set up the new hire’s workspace and equipment. 

 

 

Onboarding Checklist: 

    • Introduce your new employee to your existing employees. 
    • Provide a welcome gift that may include- office merchandise and supplies useful to the employee. 
    • Give the new employee a thorough tour of the office building. 
    • Set up the new employee at their workstation and provide all the necessary items. 
    • Ensure the new employee completes all necessary documentation. 
    • Assign an experienced peer in the same department to mentor the new hire. 
    • Schedule an onboarding feedback session every week or two. 
    • Set up regular check-in meetings, especially after 30, 90, and 180 days of the new hire’s tenure.
